Speech Therapy ProgramTo the best of our knowledge, speech therapy service is non-existent in North Korea. While there is a general therapy program for developmental disorders in the nation, individuals with significant communication difficulties receive little support. Additionally, children with significant intellectual impairment, cerebral palsy, Autism, and hearing/physical impairments are broadly classified as having “learning difficulties” without effective treatment.
DoDaum is working with the Munsu Rehabilitation Center and the Korean Federation for the Protection of the Disabled (KFPD) to implement a speech therapy program. |
